What can I expect from others?

Organisations that have signed up to Torfaen’s Anti-Bullying Strategy
2008/2010 have said they will work towards the following as a minimum:

  1. Have an effective anti-bullying policy that everyone knows about
  2. Have several prevention and intervention activities throughout the year and during Anti-Bullying Week (usually end of November)
  3. Use the Torfaen definition of bullying and recording forms
  4. Share bullying incident information with the Community Safety Partnership when appropriate
  5. Nominate an anti-bullying lead to drive this work forward and, if possible, act as a first point of contact for children, young people, families and professionals
  6. Make use of training provided
  7. Survey the views children, young people, parents, carers and staff have on bullying

If you have concerns that your child's setting is not signed up to these basic recommendations, please refer them to Torfaen’s Anti-Bullying Strategy 2008/2010|
